#SupportMe

Award Winning Advertising Campaign, Mobile App, and Social Network concept for CAHG 2014 Young Globals Competition.

CAHG put on the Young Globals Awards, part of the Global Awards Competition. The 2014 brief was to focus on depression among college students. The winner of the Young Globals would earn a interview for an Internship at CAHG, the leading US based healthcare advertising agency in the country.

SupportMe, an idea created by my partner Elijah Hawkins, is a multimedia campaign that uses social networking to combat depression and anxiety in college.

We created a concept for a mobile app that acts as a safe social network where students can use hashtags to discuss depression and other forms of stress.

With the app as a base layer, we then created the SupportMe Movement, an interactive campaign that uses random acts of kindness on college campuses to promote positive attitudes and combat depression among the student population.

An out-of-home print campaign was then created to promote the app and the movement.

This campaign was selected as a finalist and we were later accepted to intern with CAHG.
SupportMe Mobile App. Four parts: Home page with news feed of stories, Hastags page where stories are sorted by hashtags used to connect with users who want support, Finding Help page to connect with colleges that provide students counseling services as well as a SupportMe hotline to chat with proffessionals, and I Survived where users can share their positive experiences of recovering from depression.
SupportMe website and mobile versions. Social Network available as well as more information on the SupportMe Movement, a campaign using random acts of kindness on college campuses to spread awareness of depression.
Out-of-Home Print campaign, these ads would help promote the Movement as well as the app. Celebrity endorsement would be possible by including quotes. Demi Lovato, known for her contribution agianst depression, shares a quote here.
Billboards, and other out-of-home ads placed near college campuses will improve awareness of this Movement and mobile app.
This campaign was submitted to the Young Globals Awards Competition 2014 put on by CAHG. Me, along with my partner in this project, Elijah Hawkins, were selected as a finalists who interviewed for an internship with CAHG, the leading US based healthcare advertising agency in the country. We were awarded with the internship in early 2015 on behalf of the Global Awards, TBWA/WorldHealth, and CAHG.
